I was rereading Marty Cagan’s book Inspired and I came across this quote:
“Good teams celebrate when they achieve a significant impact to the business results. Bad teams celebrate when they finally released something.”

It’s a good reminder that as a leader we need to pay attention to what we celebrate. Launching is an important milestone, but a great team shouldn’t be satisfied with hitting a deadline or launching a feature.
A good team should instead be focused on how their work impacts the customers and the business. A good team is driven by customer impact and business value rather than deadlines.
